EElectricity Cost Estimator

Method & assumptions

How Electricity Cost Estimator derives its result.

Formula

Energy = watts ÷ 1,000 × hours. Cost = kWh × rate per kWh.

Recommended workflow

  1. Find typical power or measure average usage.
  2. Enter realistic hours and days of use.
  3. Read the variable per-kWh price from your bill; handle fixed charges separately.

Limitations

Actual bills include other loads, fixed fees, taxes, rate tiers, and seasonal behavior. This is not electrical safety advice.

For important work, verify assumptions against the authoritative source for your task.
